Why teach?

Bismillaah,

Asalaamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu!

Why does anyone want to teach? Unruly kids, who bounce from wall to wall, who wear their trousers hanging down, who swear, are rude, obnoxious, who don’t want to be in school? Its a “challenging” school we are told, but we all know what that means.

So why on earth did i decide to choose this as my career? Surely their are easier jobs out there, No?

Hmm i wonder.

My reason, first and foremost i did it for the sake of Allaah. Then, i wanted to give something back into the community, the youth today struggle, they have no role models decent role models.

This blog is going to be about my struggles, highs, lows, of being a teacher in a state school. The problems and obstacles i face being a practising Muslim, the daily challenges of being a teacher!
